DIAGNOSTIC CONSULTATION AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
My mission is to support individuals and families during difficult times through guidance, encouragement, and empowerment. I approach treatment as a growth process through cognitive, behavioral, and relational models using evidence-based interventions. I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents and families as well as conducting psychological, educational, and personality assessments.
I have over a decade's worth of experience working with issues such as disruptive behaviors, attention problems, over activity, anxiety and depression, divorce and separation, learning challenges, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, as well as providing parent consultation and support. I have additional experience working with college and university students and young adults.
I have extensive experience and interest in working with Autistic children, adolescents and adults (particularly those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1). Autistic individuals often experience comorbid challenges including: ADHD, Anxiety, obsessive thinking patterns and depressed mood which are often overlooked.
My approach is focused on neurodiversity education and acceptance. Brain differences are normal, not defined as deficits. Through the celebration of differences and acknowledgement of need for supports, we can reduce stigma and empower individuals and families.
Having an Autistic child myself, I know well the necessary personal growth associated with parenting. I can help you and your family improve functioning and communication.
